COMPETIÇÃO 9
O FIKE – Festival Internacional de Curtas Metragens de Évora inicou a sua nona sessão de competição com A Shadow in the Soul de Fernando Galrito e João Ramos. Neste filme de animação os realizadores conjugam técnicas distintas ao primeiro olhar incompatíveis. Porém a vanguarda da imagem real misturada com a imagem animada e plásticamente adulterada torna-o visualmente atractivo, em definitivo. Tal abordagem afasta o espectador do enredo acabando, no entanto, por se tornar clara a relação da opção estética com o título da obra. As sombras da alma são de um escuro profundo, tal como o azul da noite.
A componente temática da juventude tem estado em foco no FIKE 2007. Depois de A Little Tiger, Heartcut inverte relativamente os conteúdos narrativos do anterior e incide no teor freudiano de uma filha e um pai que perderam o terceiro membro da família, a mãe. Saudosa ou ciumenta, a jovem enamora-se pela nova namorada do pai. No entanto, detesta-a. Um olhar igualmente nórdico da norueguesa Anne Sewitsky.
De Itália realizado por Vito Palmieri, Everyone Saved atreve-se a partilhar com as crianças da vizinhança o seu pátio de brincadeira, assim como o seu primeiro dia de aulas. De um toque eminentemente italiano, o filme manobra as emoções da criança protagonista em relação aos seus companheiros, sem extravasar para o universo adulto tanto paterno como educacional. A partir deste ponto de vista as crianças parecem não obedecer a uma ordem superior mas sim a um esquema inato naturalmente combinado entre eles. Até nas emoções e nos sentimentos. Até na paixão.

In this animation movie the directors mix different techniques, uncompatible at the first look. In spite of this the avant gard of the real image mixed with the animated and in a plastic way adultered image makes it more visually atractive, definitely. That aproach puts the spectator outside the plot but makes clearer the relationship between the estetic option and the film title. The shadows of the soul are of a deep dark, like the night blue.
The youth theme has been in focus at FIKE 2007. After A Little Tiger, Heartcut inverts the narrative contents from the other and gets closer to the freudian induction of a father and a daughter who have lost the mother, the third member from the family. Missing her or just jealous the young lady falls in love by her father girlfriend. But she hates her. Another nordic look by the norwegian Anne Sewitsky.
From Italy by Vito Palmieri, Everyone Saved shares the playing yard and the first class day with the neighbourwood children. With an eminent italian touch this short film manoeuvres the protagonist emotions in relationship with his fellows, without getting out to the parental and educational adult universe. From this point of view the children seem to not obey to a superior order but to a natural scheme among them. As in the emotions and in the feelings. As in passion.
